Autumn Inspirations

I absolutely love fall.
You just need to know that about me. I just think its so wonderful. I love the trees changing colors. I love the weather. I love the clothes – scarves, boots, sweaters, all of it. And to top it off, my birthday is in October. It’s just great.
And since fall is quickly approaching, I have felt extra inspired lately and just thought I would share with you a couple of the things I’m hoping to make or acquire this season.

Also, there’s about one week left until the end of the GIVEAWAY!

Unfortunately, I’m not able to track who pinned or tweeted or liked on facebook. So as of now I will be choosing the winner from my current followers. If you want an extra entry, comment on this post telling me your favorite part of fall.
If you have not yet entered and would like to, subscribe by email to my blog and you will be entered.

As always, feel free to like, pin, or tweet if you like what you see!

New Collection, My Dear

Hello all,

I have added my first collection to the shop!

It is a stationery collection that I have entitled, “My Dear”.

(and there’s a nice little surprise related to that at the end of this post…)

Notecards

The inspiration came to me on a hike that my husband and I took together about a week ago. During our hike, we had the pleasure of witnessing a little fawn hop between the trees. It was the most adorable thing I had ever seen – his little prance was so full of energy and joy. And it was especially deer to me that day (Are the puns getting old yet?), because of what we had read earlier that morning in the book Jesus Calling by Sarah Young. (Which I highly recommend)

It had just referenced the verse, Psalm 18:33, which says:
“He makes my feet like the feet of a deer, and sets me on my high places”.

If you have ever witnessed what I did the other day, you know that deer prance so joyfully and gracefully. It doesn’t matter that their feet are landing on sharp rocks, and twigs, and cacti all around them. They are completely protected and at peace. So full of life.

It is so uplifting to hear God’s word to us, that He will make our feet like the feet of a deer. We don’t need to worry about all the troubles and problems we face in life. With him as our comfort and guide, we are given an overwhelming joy. It doesn’t mean the troubles aren’t there, but it does mean that His love and protection is.

And, oh, how I love the poetic grace of our Lord.

So that was the inspiration behind this collection. I hope when you see it (and hopefully use it!), it will encourage you as well. And to each person who receives these notes, cards, or letters, let it be a wish to them – that they may receive the joy and protection of the Lord that day as well!
